Begging is more noble than welfare

 
Begging for the necessities of life when one is unable (tempoorarily or permanently) to manage on his or her own and, therefore, depending on the charity of others is much more moral than the government's role of "sugar daddy." The reasons are several: First it is more honest in the relationship. When the government provides automatically, the recipient loses sight of the truth of the matter and often assumes a victim role and assumes it is a right and entitlement to only be a taker.
