Outlaw Corporal Punishment?

 
With the recent release of a Texas judge beating his daughter, questions emerge as to the moral and legal stance we take as a country. Corporal punishment was banned in schools, do we now ban it domestically?

  kristenv   I personally don't find anything appropriate about disciplining a child in this manner. And its such a super fine line between "discipline" and "abuse." Further, its a really ineffective

  charlee   The administration of a form of physical pain is a necessary punishment technique in the raising of children. Having said that, there are, without any doubt, widespread misuse and abuse of the modality.
