Rowan + Rutgers is not in best interest for NJ

 
Gov. Christe has proposed a plan to merge Rowan University with Rutgers University of Camden NJ. The idea behind the merge is among many reasons such as, to attract top national talent and to develop some of the best medical education and research. The state funds research to public universities about 12 million a year to schools such as Rowan, the merge between the two schools would bring about 30 million to one school for state funded research, Chrite hopes. ptomkz   As a Rowan graduate, I agree. Rowan is a great school, but Rutgers' Camden is an icon. I don't see the substance behind this proposition to merge schools. They should publicize any evidence that this

  bethnewyork   Why is it always education they are willing to cut? I don't trust their motives, find the money somewhere else.

  Rudderow   Its hard to believe what the motive really is when a polotician says they want to do somthing. I believe that Rutgers is held at a very high standard and to merge it with Rowan will do nothing but make
